We’ll observe the following rules, roles, and schedule. Please read through this entire email to help us achieve a smooth and effective meeting on Saturday.

Attendance Rules:

Presentations: (time strictly enforced)

Candidates for Monroe County and Rush Supervisor will be given a total of 5 minutes to give presentation (1 minute warning at 4 minute mark)

Candidates for Rush Town Board will be given a total of 10 minutes ( 5 minutes presentation/5 min Q and A) (1 minute warning at 9 minute mark); Candidates for Rush Town Board will be given topics/themes in advance, to address in their presentation.

Q & A period for Rush Town Board Candidates:

Those who wish to ask questions will submit them through Chat and indicate which candidate the question is addressed to; and are asked to limit themselves to one question. The Moderator will read questions in order of receipt, as time permits within the total presentation time limit of 10 minutes. Facilitator/ Timekeeper will control the time.

NOTE: The Pre-voting Discussion and Voting are restricted as to who may be present in the Zoom room. All other parts of the meeting are open.

Pre-voting Discussion:  Following presentations and Q&A by the Rush Town Board candidates, and prior to voting on all candidates, everyone except RDC members who are not running for office will be put in Waiting Room. There will be an 15-minute open discussion among RDC members except those running for office. The Host will unmute those requesting to comment during this period. After the discussion, non-voting RDC members will be placed in Waiting Room, and RDC members who are candidates will be brought back to Zoom room to participate in voting.

Voting will be conducted by individual ballot, at the end of the meeting after all presentations and discussion. Voting is restricted to Voting Members of RDC who are asked to closely follow instructions (vote for the number of candidates specified; vote Y, N or abstain) in order for us to keep a correct tally.  The Host will announce the results of each contest, and the Secretary will record results. After voting is complete and recorded, all attendees in the waiting room will be brought back to hear a rundown of election results. Candidates are welcome to wait for results; however, the Recording Secretary will report election results in an email, within a half hour of close of meeting (by 4:30 PM).
