Mission

The Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Caucus of the Monroe County Democratic Committee aims to uplift and empower the voices of APIDA communities within Monroe County through civic engagement and political participation in local, state, and national elections.  We aim to ensure APIDA political presence within the Monroe County Democratic committee that reflects APIDA perspectives & needs and to prioritize voter outreach to support and increase Asian Pacific Islander Desi American political leadership and representation in elected office. 

Vision

We envision a Monroe County where APIDA communities are actively engaged in the political process to elect officials who address the needs of our communities, to build a just, inclusive, and equitable society, and to transform our communities into a powerful force to advocate for progressive lasting changes.
