The Monroe County Young Democrats, or MCYD, launched in 2011 to give left-leaning Rochesterians ages 18-35 a place to network, learn, and get involved.

Monroe County Young Democrats (MCYD) engages students and young professionals in the life of the Democratic Party, offering opportunities to gain insight on issues, campaigns, and elections; to forge friendships and build networks with young Democrats and Democratic elected officials; to make manifest the values of the Democratic Party by serving our community; and to participate in the political process at all levels. We are a service organization, a social organization, and an organization empowering the next generation of leaders.
